Used Nissan Juke

Buying a used Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke is a small SUV with a bold, recognisable style. Some motorists love the shape and curves of the Nissan Juke, but others despise it. If you love the initial look of the Nissan Juke, this article is for you. We look at the practicality, features and options available on the Nissan Juke to help you decide if this small SUV will make it into your shortlist.

Nissan Juke practicality

SUVs were born out of a need for a more practical car for larger families. Motorists also love the visibility an SUV provides with its higher driving position. Safety is also a key factor for an SUV; these cars are designed for families and often have additional safety features. The front interior of the Juke has limited storage for water bottles and other items. However, the cabin and dashboard look good and are well thought out in their design. The back seats are slightly cramped for large adults, but there is enough space for children, making the Nissan Juke ideal for families. The Isofix anchor points are easy to access, making it simple to fit and remove children's car seats. The boot is a good size and includes an adjustable floor which makes the rear completely flat when you have the back seats down. Flat boots make carrying items much more accessible; the parcel shelf can also be neatly tucked under the adjustable floor to help save space. The Nissan Juke is a practical car made for a small family. It wouldn't be suitable for larger families with more than two children.

Nissan Juke engine choice

Currently, the Nissan Juke only has a single engine option, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. You can get the Nissan Juke with a manual or an automatic gearbox.

Nissan Juke features

The features of the Nissan Juke vary quite considerably depending on the individual vehicle specification. The entry-level Juke has a few notable features, including cruise control and a lane departure warning and assist system. If you move out of your lane, the Juke’s system will take over and direct you back into a safe driving position. All levels of the Nissan Juke also include auto emergency braking, which can spot pedestrians and cyclists. The car will stop or automatically steer if something is in its path. However, the entry version only has the basic form of the infotainment system; we suggest opting for the next level up to get the better infotainment system with a colour screen and more of the features you would expect in a car of this age.

The next level up Nissan Juke features the upgraded infotainment system, which is a much-needed improvement on the entry-level version. It has a colour screen and the usual integrations you would expect. It also includes Apple Carplay and Android Auto to handle your phone calls, music, messages and satellite navigation through the car. In addition, this version also has a reversing camera to assist with parking.

The highest two spec levels of the Nissan Juke include some additional features, which include a leather gear knob and steering wheel, an integrated satellite navigation system, climate control and another display between the driver dials. This version also has a keyless entry and keyless start for when you can’t find your keys. You can also find Nissan Jukes on the used car market with additional features such as faux leather seats and speakers integrated into the headrests, heated seats, heated windscreens and a 360-degree camera for complete parking visibility.

The Nissan Juke can also be personalised when new, with the roof coming in several different colours. If you’re looking for something more unique in your next used car, you should look out for a Nissan Juke with an alternative colour roof.
