Engine options 

There are several options in terms of engine on the Ford Kuga, these are detailed below.  

• 1.5L petrol - 120 and150hp - both these options come in manual only.
• 1.5L diesel 120 hp - there is a manual and automatic version of this engine. 
• 2.0L diesel 150 hp - this option only has a manual version.
• 2.0L diesel 190 hp - this option is only available as an automatic.
• Plug-in Hybrid - 2.5L petrol mated to an electric motor 225hp, 14 Kwh battery pack. The plug-in hybrid option can do up to 35 miles on electric charge only and it takes 3.5 hours from empty to full using a 7kWh charger. It also offers regenerative braking which saves petrol and adds more charge to the battery. The hybrid model can achieve up to 80mph without needing to engage the petrol engine as long as the revs are kept below a certain level.
