The New European Driving Centre (NEDC) was a previous testing protocol which has been replaced by Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
Since September 2017 the fuel consumption and C02 emissions of certain new vehicles are determined on the basis of the new regulation (WLTP), and the values have been converted into NEDC to allow comparability.
The values do not take into account in particular the conditions of use, driving style, equipment or options and may vary according to the type of tyre.
For more information on fuel consumption and C02 emissions please contact your retailer, or visit http://www.vehicle-certification-agency.gov.uk/
Legal Notice WLTP
The WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure) has been the basis of which new vehicles have been approved since 1st September 2018, replacing the European Driving Cycle (NEDC), which was the test procedure previously used.
The WLTP is used to measure fuel consumption, electric range and CO2 figures. Figures shown are for comparison purposes and should only be compared to the fuel consumption, electric range and CO2 values of other cars tested to the same technical standard, as the test conditions are more realistic, fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions measured according to the WLTP procedure are, in many cases, higher than those measured according to the NEDC procedure.
The fuel consumption or electric range achieved, and CO2 produced, in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); the starting charge of the battery (electric & PHEV only); variations in weather; driving styles and vehicle load.
