Used Vauxhall Zafira

Buying a used Vauxhall Zafira

The Vauxhall Zafira is an excellent family car with lots of space for passengers, cargo and the ability to transform it into a seven-seater. Inside the back of the car an entire row of three seats folds up when needed. The Vauxhall Zafira was one of the first vehicles in its class to offer this adaptability for larger families, without needing extra space to store the spare seats in the garage or shed. The beauty of this feature is flexibility, you can quickly adapt the MPV when parked to carry additional passengers if needed.

As well as 7 seats integrated into the vehicle the Vauxhall Zafira’s first row of back seats fold completely flat, this frees up a lot of space which can be used when transporting furniture or large items. This MPV is great to drive and offers handling similar to a hatchback. If driving enjoyment is an important factor in your purchase decision, then the Vauxhall Zafira is a great option in the people carrier market. The Vauxhall Zafira is also good value, especially for large families with more than 4 children. Finding a reasonably priced, adaptable car with boot space and the ability to fit more than 5 passengers can be tough, the Vauxhall Zafira offers all of this and more.

Drawbacks of the Vauxhall Zafira

The Vauxhall Zafira has a few drawbacks that should be considered when browsing the MPV market, these include:

  • The rear row of seats, when the Zafira is transformed into a 7-seater are very small and only suitable for children

  • The dashboard is not very user friendly and has a lot of buttons that can be hard to navigate

  • The spare wheel location on older models is under the vehicle boot, this makes it an easy target for theft

Vauxhall Zafira History

The Vauxhall Zafira first entered the market in 1999 and in its infancy the model won awards for European car of the year. In 2005 an updated version of the Vauxhall Zafira was launched called Zafira B, this model of Zafira had issues that required it to be recalled in 2015. The third generation Vauxhall Zafira Tourer C is the most common version of the Zafira available on the market today.
