This 5-door compact saloon, first marketed under the Citroën brand during its first four years of production, acquired its current name in 2015. Looks-wise, its slick rims,  large DS Wings grille and concealed door handles created a buzz when it joined the DS universe.

The engines found in the previous generation of used DS 4s are 100% combustion. The models are:

• A used petrol DS 4, fitted with a 1.2 PureTech 130 S&S, 1.6 VTi 120 or 1.6 THP engine block, with a power between 130 and 210 HP;
• A used diesel DS 4, fitted with a 1.6 or 2.0 HDi, e-HDi or BlueHDi 100 block.

The new generation of DS 4s is equipped with a rechargeable hybrid engine with a power of 225 horsepower and a capacity of 12.4 kW, which should ensure a range of 50 kilometres in all-electric mode. They come with an EAT8 and e-EAT8 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The second-generation DS 4 will also be available in two versions:

• The DS 4 Cross, an adventurous DS 4 with a higher suspension, roof bars that highlight its silhouette  and lower front and rear bumpers;
• The DS 4 Performance Line blends features from the above models but has a slightly higher passenger compartment and a luxurious interior with Alcantara trim.
